The results are in: Community sponsors at SymfonyLive London 2014

Even with regular contributors to projects, getting the word out to the community about an open source project can be tricky, especially without a marketing budget. This year for our biggest and best SymfonyLive London yet, we decided to help and offered free event sponsorship to community projects to help these amazing projects and people to boost their profile. We were instantly inundated with suggestions so we asked you, the community, to help us decide which projects deserved the exposure and the opportunity to present to the heart of the Symfony community.

The results

You voted in your hundreds. Thank you to everyone who got involved and for all of your suggestions. Unfortunately, we had only six spots available and it swiftly became a tight vote with immense support for a large number of projects.

Without further ado we’re pleased to announce that the following projects will be granted free sponsorship at SymfonyLive London 2014:

What does this mean for attendees?

You’ll be able to meet the representative behind each of the above projects at the event. With demos and good old fashioned face-to-face chat, they’ll be able to give you the lowdown on their projects and how you can get involved.

Don’t worry if your chosen project didn’t make it through to the final six. All nominated project representatives have been offered a free pass to the event so you still have the chance to catch-up with them at the unconference.

All of the community sponsors are open source projects, and are reliant on the community offering their time and skills to develop them further. Please swing by their stands to show your support, and who knows - you may meet the tool or project you never knew you were missing.

Thank you again to everyone who voted and for all of your suggestions. We were astounded at the response; the Symfony community continues to amaze us.

Don’t forget to grab your ticket to SymfonyLive London if you haven’t already done so, and we’ll see you all in September!
